Press Release.

“.1st release on holy roller recordings; IG Culture present ID 4 Windz “HOT ISH !”. ID 4 Windz is the instrumentalist adviser responsible for the majority of Scienz of Life’s production. The true genius behind this producer is his amazing ability to create music that sounds different every time it touches the ears. He runs free from the producer disease of common familiar sounds and spotability, i.e. when one hears a beat and knows exactly who made it. Each of ID’s beats sound like a totally different person created each one. ID can also be heard blazing the microphone spitting distinctive abstract rhyme flows over the tracks as complex as tidal waves and as subtle as ripples in still waters. Lil Scienz is the political adviser responsible for all politics and networking for Scienz of Life. The Clark Kent of the group, he is by day hip hop businessman and by night hip hop lyricist. A great communicator with a distinctive voice, Lil Scienz spits fluidly over the tracks. Lil Scienz also holds a few battles titles under his belt. He is currently awaiting release on his solo album The John Robinson Project Produced by MF DOOM. Collectively their style runs free from the over-used sound of a few good artists the younger generation of rappers choose to emulate. The science behind SOL’s style is their aim to flow by their own standards. This line of purpose is reflected in their current release titled “The Blaxploitation Sessions”. .. .. .. .. .. ..

In recent weeks, unrest hit the streets of the UK following the death of Mark Duggan. The 29 year old was shot by police on the 4th of August 2011. A peaceful vigil was held outside Tottenham Police station on 6th August by the family and friends looking for answers. At some point that evening – tensions broke out, and exploded into what became a chaos of rioting that spread across city and country for the next 3 days.

These events draw parallels to the Brixton riot of 1981 following a covert police operation codenamed: Swamp 81.

In this special Holy Roller Radio installment, IG blends a wicked music selection with a full audio documentary of the events in and around the Brixton Riot of 1981.

A history lesson for every one to adhere to. Know your past, understand your present,
affect your future.
